Question
Hi, I was wondering why my my mouse is pulling in lots of tissue into her home.

Thank You

Answer
Hi Olivia,

Watching mice redecorate their homes is one of my favorite things about them, and it's just a natural behavior all mice have.  She's just making it more comfortable and homey, and will probably rearrange it to her liking each time you change her bedding (and even in between cage changes, if she gets bored with the "decor!").  Tissues are a great, safe way to provide both entertainment and warmth for your mouse, as they rip it up and line their hiding areas with it.  The one thing about it, though, is that it does get dirty quickly, so be sure and clean the tissue bits out with the normal bedding each week so it doesn't start to get stinky.  Then watch her decorate her environment to her liking all over again!  :)

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
