death of baby wild mouse

well my baby mouse that i found outside by a creek died and my mom said that it started wiggling or something and then it died and i gave it puppies formula and took care of it for two days but my question is do you know how it might have died?? if so thanks.

I'm sorry that the little thing died, and I'm very grateful to you, in the name of all mice, for trying to save its life.  Not many people are so kind.

There is no way to know what happened to the mouse before it was found.  It could have had an illness, been mistreated, been starving, or even have a congenital (hereditary) defect.  It's not easy to raise a mouse by hand even if the mouse is 100% healthy.  The problem is, you are not a mother mouse, and it's hard to substitute for one.  Thank you for trying!

Mice do have convulsions when they die. This is why it wiggled.
