QuestionHello Diane, I was just wondering if Chinese water dragon eggs get bigger as they get nearer to hatching, and how long it takes them to hatch. And do the eggs get a yellow tint on them as they get older?
AnswerHi Colton,
Generally, it can take 60-80+ days for the eggs to hatch..this of course happens only if the eggs have been fertilized. Many lizards will lay eggs even if not bred.
Yes, the eggs can get larger as the the baby grows in the egg. Generally, a few days before hatching the egg will begin to cave in a bit. The color changing on the eggs could be the baby in the egg as it grows and basically the egg is more sense due to the baby inside.
Here is a link that can give you more info on incubating/hatching WD eggs.
