Inactive crab

Hi,
  I have this crab which lived with me for approximately 1 year. Today, I just realized that it was inactive. It just stay at one place and doesn;t move. When I hold it up, normally before this, it will hide from me. But now it won't. I am really worried it might die.

Does the crab smell like anything? It is very possible that it is getting ready to molt. A strong dead fish smell however indicated that your crab may have passed.

If there is no smell, return your crab to the tank and keep an eye out. Continue to check every few days to see if the dead fish smell has appeared
