Moving with Hermit Crabs

Question
I really hope you could answer this question. I'm from Nj/usa I will be moving to London with my Hermit Crabs, because I have no one to care for them, and I do love them. Whats the best way for me to send them out to London? And what price roughly will it cost? And if I can't find Hermit Crab supplies at store, what site would deliver to uk? I been trying to research this myself, but I ain't very good doing this.

Thanks again,

Lisa

Answer
Lisa,     WOW, that's a big move. I am also from NJ so hang in there and let's see what the laws are and who can deliver them overnight. I know in some places some animals need to remain in quarantine. I don't think your crabs are one. In fact while I am doing that why don't you call or have someone call the airline. You may be able to take them on the plane with you. I have had people bring them back from the Caribbean on the plane. I will get back to you ASAP. If you find out you can fly with them first get back to me ok, Tina

Lisa,   As I thought there are no quarantine laws for your crabbies. Most airlines will allow you to take them on the plane with you and you won't even have to buy a pet ticket... : ) Hope you and your family have a safe trip. If you find you have to ship them here is a site that will tell you how to do  it safely.     http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/pages/shipping.html  Good Luck, Tina
