Question
My kids received two male guinea pigs for xmas.  They obviously did not get along.  We immediately went out and purchased a book only to find out that it was never going to work.  We bought a second set of everything so they could each have a home. So......the pig that was always picked on can never seem to relax.  If you even go near the cage he is frightened.  Is there anything we can do to make him more comfortable in his environment.  The other one seems very content.
Thank You!
Katie

Answer
Hi,
I have two guinea pigs that act just like that. What you should do is you can spend more time with him, like take him out of his cage and feed him some fruits in your hand. Do that every other day until he gets fond of you. You might even want to leave him in his cage for a couple of days, that way he will get comfortable in his environment. Sometimes guinea pigs can get very lonely and need some company to play with, so get him a friend or some toys to play with. I hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask me any more questions.
