Guinea Pig Scurvy

Question
I believe my guinea pig had scurvy because of symptoms told by on-line vet, so I treated her with Vitamin c supplements and with oranges and other food. She gained weight and she responded a lot better than what she did, but I've noticed that she is still not the same guinea pig as she was when we first got her. She is a lot better than what she was, but she is still finds it difficult to lie down and sleep, because of this we put more comfortable things in her cage for her but she still seems uncomfortable when she is trying to sleep. So my question is can scurvy leave permanent damage to her body?

Thanks,
Jack

Answer
sorry for the reply, had my dissertation.

in answer to your question no, scurvy should more or less heal up fine, there may be some scars, but these should fur over fine. it will take a while to get better. it might be worth applying tea tree oil cream on areas that look irritated to help sooth her. it is also possible that she has mange instead of scurvy, I would have a look and see if her condition matches mange as well.
best of luck
