mother hamster

i got a hamster 2 weeks ago and she had 9 babies (i didnt know she was pregnant)the babies are 2 days old now and what i wanted to know is when she stuffs the babies in her pouches can they sufficate and die or get hert when she does it

Something is stressing her out if she's pouching the babies, she's trying to protect them and is probably moving them around the cage.  If she continues to be stressed she may eat them.  Hopefully she's in a quiet area of the house.  If you can shut the door, turn off the lights and let her be for a while.  Don't do anything but change her water and give her food.  If she's not already in a quiet room where you can shut the door or at least turn the lights off then cover part of her cage with a thin fabric like a sheet just make sure she can't get to it.
She may still eat the babies if she's a first time mother and doesn't know what to do, but this will lessen the chance.
