getting a second ferret?

would getting another ferret affect my relationship with my current one?
would he bond with that one and not really love me as much?

Getting a 2nd ferret will not affect your current relationship. Yes, ferrets form emotional bonds with their friends, but they always still love their owner. I had Big Ferret by himself for a year since he was a baby, then got him an adult friend, then a few years later added a baby male to the mix. Big Ferret still is a mama's boy if you know what I mean. He likes his friends and is attached to them, but he also still loves me and is attached to me as well. So are the added ferrets. Ferrets just naturally get emotionally involved with whoever they are around, whether it be human or animal. So you have nothing to worry about, I think your ferret will enjoy a friend, but nothing can or will ever substitute you.
