Question
My dog has started peeing in the house. I adopted him in October of last year. I have 2 other dogs and they have a doggie door that they can go in and out as they please. Here recently he has been peeing if i leave and knows im coming back. If I go to work I have not noticed him doing it. I am thinking separation anxiety but hoping you can help.

First thing to consider is a possible urinary tract infection which can be confirmed or refuted by your vet. If no UTI, proceed with behavior modification. Is water left down all day? You might consider offering it a few times a day instead. Start taking him outside on leash and encourage him to pee outside, reward with a good treat outside if he does so. Repeat until he gets it. Buy Nature's Miracle and remove all signs and scents of past accidents. Also, you did not mention if he has a crate. Consider crate training him with the help of a good book like Shirlee Kalstone's "Housebreak Your Dog in 7 Days."

Good luck!
