Question
QUESTION: I bottle fed a chiwawa back to life after being dehydrated at once week.  She is now 2 pounds.

Is there anything I can feed her to help her gain body fat so she doesn't get cold, during the winter and with a/c in the house during the summer.

The Internet had a wonderful formula of canned milk, karo syrup, pediolyte, mayonise, etc, which I feel brought her back from the brink of death - would this supplement help her ?

ANSWER: Well there is a formula that comes in a powder form and you heat up water in the microwave and you mix it together and it keeps the puppy warm-I'm not sure of the name of it,but it can be bought in most petstores, just tell them what you are looking for and they will help you

QUESTION: I guess my questions was not clear.

I want to what food would specifically help put weight on her so she will gain some body fat - body fat is what will keep her from getting cold when the temperature is below 75 degrees.  She now weighs 2.4 pounds.

Answer
What you you can do is give her either puppy food, canned food or even baby food, and put a bit a vegetable oil as it does help to build fat on skinny dogs-but only use a small amount as you don't want the dog overweight, but you do want her to gain weight
