how young before rawhid is givn

I have a 9.5 week old doberman puppy.When can we start giving them the little rawhide sticks?

Hello, Congrats on your new puppy. You can give compressed rawhide to a young puppy they take forever to be chewed and are less likely to be swollowed half eatten....my advice is offer a rather large compressed rawhide to him and once it gets very dirty/or very small take it away to pervent choking. I dont reccomend the small stick hides for large breed dogs even large breed puppies as they chew half of them then swollow them whole offen getting them stuck and throwing them back up sometimes however they may not come back and the dog may choke to death. Or if your settled on normal uncompressed rawhide...most dogs perfer it you can give a large stick rawhide that is fat and long this is safer then the skinny stick ones.
