Dog acting out...I have no idea why...

Question
My female dog, Juno has all of a sudden been acting out.  She is almost 2 years old.  We also have another dog (he is 3.5 years old).  Our dogs get PLENTY of exercise.  The go on runs twice a day, also a walk, and go to the park where they are off lease playing fetch, etc.  They NEVER go without exercise.  They have access to dog bones and toys. Yet, she has started to become destructive lately.  Tearing up pillows, chewing up the Netflix DVD's, tearing up the couch!  Nothing has changed as far as relationships within the household, no new pets, no change to our routine.  She was crate trained for a year, and slowly introduced to different rooms of the house.  She was great...I dont know what has changed.  Should I bring back the crate after having it put away for a year?  Please help.

Answer
I don't see a good answer to this question.  I would get her checked out by the vet.  If she isn't spayed, she could be coming into season.  If so, I would think she would have doen it before.

My last straw to grasp at is that she is maturing and challenging you for leadership.  The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts. Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat.
