Swimming Pool Chlorine

Question
I am wondering about the safety of dogs swimming in a pool treated with chlorine. Our dog swims daily, lots and for long periods of time. I can't imagine that is good for his skin or system. He also drinks the water. If chlorine is not good are there alternatives out there for treating swimming pools that are safe for dogs and humans?

Answer
Hello Jana, I only know one thing about this subject and it is that letting dogs in large swimming pools caintaining treated water isnt good for them, he shouldnt be drinking it and its not good for his skin, I'd call the vet up and ask.

Sorry its the only thing I know about pools.
