Yellow lab and a new puppy

I have a female, 3 year old yellow lab and am ready to get a new puppy.  I am thinking about getting a Boxer.  Should I get a female or male, and do you think those 2 breeds will get a long? thanks

Hello congrats on getting a new puppy multiple dog households are the best. You can get a female or a male...thou some say a male/female pair will get along better I don't find this the case at all and quite frankly my two female dogs have never once attempeted to fight with each other yet my male dog will try domante my Labrador retreiver all the timein loud weasling matches. The breeds will be fine together if you check my profile you'll note that I have a 3 year old Labrador retreiver Female who is spayed, a 2 year old Jack russell terrier male who is neutered and a almsot 1 year old Female Boston terrier who is spayed under the same roof all are indoor dogs..all play together very nicely and keep each other very well occupied.
