my german sheperd is dog 1 year i am in india in northern part so in december and january what shoul i do to protect him from cold

If he is living in the house with you, you shouldn't need to do much.  He will grow a heavier coat to protect him when he does go out.  Even if he lives outside, the most important thing is a sheltered place to sleep.  Dogs that live outside in America usually are given a dog house, a small building not much bigger than the dog.  It needs to be where your house or other buildings break the wind, and the door faces away from the wind.  He needs straw or other bedding.  2 offset doors or a flap are good to help keep the wind out.  

Make sure he is getting enough to eat and always has unfrozen water to drink.
