sheperd ears

Hi
I have an 11 week old male sheperd and was told by the breeder i purchased him from that if his ears needed to be glued that the name of the glue to use is called Tear menders fabric glue...is this a correct answer.

I have never seen any information on gluing and taping ears from what I would consider a reliable source.  Most Shepherds' ears eventually stand, even after a year with or without help.  I strongly suspect the ones that respond to gluing would have come up without it.  

I have very little faith in the average breeder.
