2 puppies from the same litter

Question
Hi,
I am due to collect 2 ten week old Cocker Spaniel bitches from the same litter in 2 days time. Since arranging this I have now read on the internet that getting sibling puppies is not advisable. Do you agree? And if so, what are the reasons against this? (are there any benefits of getting 2 sisters?)
I've also been advised by the breeder that the puppies are currently on 2 meals of dried food a day and have read that they should be on 3-4 meals a day at 10 weeks.h Will this have a detrimental effect on their health? Sorry to ask so many questions at once!

Answer
There's no reason at all not to get siblings.  I find it mysterious that someone thinks that.

They've only been weaned a few weeks and I can't believe the breeder is only feeding them twice a day.  At that age it's 4 to 5 meals a day.

However, if you're getting them that quickly, you should be able to make up for it.  I strongly advise a premium canned food with little or no kibble added.  I really like Canidae All Life Stages for puppies.  (Go to Canidae.com to find a dealer).

But change over slowly by adding a bit of the new food to the old.
You don't want upset tummies.

Congratulations on your girls - you're going to have your hands full
for awhile :)
Please do write with ongoing questions.
Best of luck,
