QuestionI was woundering what age a male boxer can start breeding.
AnswerGenerally speaking the minimum age for breeding is two years; meaningful health testing cannot begin until that age. As well, while many dogs are biologically capable of mating at a younger age, mentally they are not mature enough until at least two years old; behavioral problems can arise after a mating at any age, but some feel these are more likely to occur if a dog is bred prior to maturity.
