Bichon Frise peeing in the house

Question
I have a 6 year old Bichon that started peeing in the house last Dec and I can't get him to stop. He has ruined 2 throw rugs and parts of my wood floor. I am just tired of cleaning up after him and feeling like everything smells of pee. He has a doggy door which he goes in and out of all day long, but he still manages to pee in the house. What do I do? I am about to either kill this dog or go crazy. I am seriously wanting to get rid of him even though he has been treated like a part of this family since he was a puppy. Nothing new happened last Dec differently than any other time and he never peed in my other house when I was going through my divorce the year before he started peeing. Help please!

Answer
Something has changed in his life.  So he is looking for more attention.  This is really typical bichon behavior.

You can buy wraps and velcrow on around his backside.  You put a sanitary pad inside.  So whenever he lifts his leg the pee goes into the pad.
