Our Little Boy
How do we find someone with a Bichon bitch looking to breed. We are in Upstate NY. Our Male Bichon is big, he walks 5 miles a day.. country dog. Great temperament and friends want one of his puppies. Great disposition and smart as can be. 21 pounds and taller than most. All muscle, no fat.

please dont take what I am about to say the wrong way.
Firstly looking at your handsome doggy I would ask why are you considering breeding him, he looks a lovely family pet but is possibly lacking some qualities that I would consider essential to breed.
He would need to be screened before considering breeding, tests for STDS and sperm quality and eye tests, a full blood screening and patella and hip checks. These all cost quite a lot of money but would be deemed necessary to ensure that he was good enough to breed and add to the gene pool.
If he has all these tests done (and I would recommend that he does) then hey why not and advertise in the doggy press or via the AKC sites.
I really hope that you understand that breeding is a complex issue if we wish to protect the gene pool for the future and that I think your boy looks gorgeous as a pet.
