what is wrong with my cat ??

QUESTION: Hi, I have a 2 year old Persian Cat, Possibly pregnant (not sure)for the last few days I noticed that she she is passing urine on the floor outside her litter box, I also noticed that she is not covering her feces in the litter box after finishing. nothing has changed at home, no other pets, what could possibly be wrong ???
Please help because I'm really worried about her.

This sounds more like a medical problem. I would give the vet a call.

And the vet can tell you for sure if she is pregnant. She needs to be fed a good kitten chow until she weans the babies if she is. And she needs to be fed free-choice (a full bowl of food always available) because she will eat up to 4 times her normal amount also until the babies are weaned.

QUESTION: Thaks for your quick answer Tabbie, She was seen by a vet today, he thinks she is possibly pregnant but he doesn't have an ultra sound. by general examination he is not expecting medical problems, however he didn't do any investigation or lab tests because he didn't want to disturb her pregnancy. do you think I should see another vet??
some suggest that it's because her litter box is hooded so the smell is concentrated though we clran everyday, but this has been her box for more than a year without problems ????

If you can afford it it is always good to get a second opinion. Lab test won't disturb a pregnancy.

About the litter box: take the hood off and move the litterbox. That may help.
