My cat won`t eat

My cat wont eat and looks to be very sick. We have a stray that is here now and has a bad cold. Since the cat has been here my cat has been very upset and now she wont eat. Is it a health issue or she just is very upset about the other cat being here?

Yes this is a serious issue. Take your cat to a vet right away. If she won't eat and looks sick then she is very sick. The stray could have infected her with any one of many serious diseases. Please take her to a vet right away.

This is a tough one. I can only tell you what I would do. First off, if I took the stray into my home, I would take her to the vet also. You need to find out just how sick that cat is. If she can be saved I would get the care for her. If she was an outside stray I would set up an outside shelter for her.
I have an old tom cat that came to my door last year. He shows up everyday. We set up an enclosed shelter for him, feed him and give him water everyday. We also got him fixed and his shots. He comes and goes as he likes. He is not a cat we could take into our household but I tried to take care of him the best I could.
You can try getting in touch with any no kill shelters in the area. The stray should be healthy when it goes to a shelter. Or you could try to find a home for it yourself.
