Question
QUESTION: Hello Norman:

How are you? I recall a while ago you were helping me out with information on Chinese cat breeds. Did you get any more info on Chinese cats from those links I gave you? Did you find anymore information on possible eye colors for the Dragon Li? Please let me know. Thank you. :D

Sincerely,
Jason Goldman

ANSWER: Jason,

As I have told you before, I was unable to find anything at all useful about Dragon Li cats.  However, white cats, in general tend to come in three varieties of eye color .

(1)  The copper, gold, green, amber, hazel eyed whites .(all variations of the same basic eye color), prevalent in the dominant white cats of any breed.

(2) Blue eyed whites (probably due to total presence of the piebald white spotting system).

(3) Odd eyed whites (one copper/gold/green/amber/hazel eye and one blue eye), due to presence of dominant white and piebald white spotting system in the cat.

I cannot imagine the Dragon Li would not have these variations.

Best regards... Norm.

Hello Norm:

Thank you for responding and for your help. I remember you had some problem getting some answers from your Chinese sources, because they were concerned about internet regulations, but you said you'd let me know if you found out anything new. Have you found out anything pertaining to the cats in the pics I posted for you?-

Please let me know. Thank you again. :D

Answer
Jason,

I have heard nothing else from any of my contacts.  I may get to meet one of them face to face in June, at which point I will repeat the query.

The pictures you have links to appear to be domestic cats (Asian variety) with all the standard markings and patterns we tend to see here, in Europe, Australia, and Japan.  One would expect Asian varieties to be a bit more sleek than American or European domestic cats, and the ones I have seen (including these) have that tendency.

Best regards... Norm.
