Question
We have two female cats that gave birth a week apart  both are good mothers but now the first one is taking the 2nd one's kittens and hiding them    why is this  and should we do anything?

Answer
Hi Roxy,

If the second mom can find her kittens then don't worry about it. If she is having problems then I would try to separate them as much as I could. She may be moving them because she feels the two litters together are too much of a target,(maternal instinct). She is trying to make her litter safe. Good luck with your new ones.
