What I have seen is that kittens can be neutered/spayed as young as 12 weeks of age as long as they weigh at least 4 pounds. On the other hand, females can come into season as young as 4.5 months of age and, a male who showed no interest before, can suddenly get the urge.
So, you can have them neutered and spayed at 4 months of age. If your vet balks at this, refer them to:
