Moving from an Apartment to a House

I have two strictly indoor cats who have both lived their entire lives in a one-bedroom, third floor apartment. I am shortly moving into a house which will be much larger than my apartment and have stairs. I'm concerned about how my cats will react to their new, much larger environment with stairs that they've never seen before. What's the best was to acclimate them to living in a house rather than an apartment?

Just show them where the litter pan is to be and put them in it.  Stand back and watch them enjoy the new wide open spaces!!!!

I expect there will be some raucous games of chase, especially up and down the stairs.
