Question
My 7mos. (girl) kitten just won't go poo-poo in the litter box. I clean old areas, which she avoids for a while then goes back. I clean for box everyday and have tried different cat litter sands'. Her brother has no problem, they have both been fixed. what should I do?

Did this start suddenly or has she never used the litter box to poo?

I would have her checked for a medical problems, like impacted anal glands or intestinal parasites or the like. These can often cause a cat to defecate outside the box.  If she has an intestinal parasite problem, you will have to treat them both.

You can also try to crate her so she has no choice but to do all her business in the litter pan until she gets the idea. Cats do not like living in their own filth and usually come around pretty quickly.
