Ferrel Kittens

We care for ferrel cats on our acreage.  About a 1 year old kitten just gave birth.  We don't know where, but are concerned she may not be caring for them because she spends much of her time away from them (around the yard, near our home).  Could she have had them and then abandoned them because she doesn't know how or want to care for them?

Cats are so good at hiding things.  Until she is willing to bring them out, I would expect it would be nigh impossible to find her nest.  It is just as likely they were still born and she has moved on. Firts litters are always a bit of a crap shoot!

It is almost impossible to know what is going on and I would not even venture to speculate.
