8 Week Old Kitten Wont Eat

Question
I adopted an 8 week old kitten from a local kill shelter on Monday 12/2/12 and have taken him to the vet 3 times since then. He has had a distemper vaccine, been dewormed, and had flea medication. I took him to the vet right after picking him up from the shelter to get a wormer and his nails clipped but he did not actually see the vet that day. When I took him for his initial visit the next day (Tuesday) they gave him AmoxiDrops for a cold, as well as his distemper vaccine. I took him back yesterday (Friday) because he had been vomiting and wouldn't eat since Thursday afternoon. They gave him fluids, something for vomiting and something for mucus in his stool, and said he has something akin to food poisoning he picked up from being in the shelter. The thing is, I still can't get him to eat anything without having to use a syringe to put it down his throat. I have tried dry food, wet food, rice with chicken broth, mashed potatoes, and kitten formula. The kitten formula is the only thing I have been able to get down him successfully (about 5 ml today.) If you have any advice as to what I could do to get him to eat or how much and how often I should give him the kitten formula it would be greatly appreciated, but I am on a limited budget as I've already spent over $200 on him this week. Thank you in advance!

Answer
Hi Somer,

I am having problems with the site here. You need to look up something called kitty glop. Type it into the search bar. You will find it in my previous answers. Feed this to the kitten. It is inexpensive to make. Keep the kitten warm. Don't let it get chilled. Get a kitten nursing bottle from Wal Mart. Try and use that to feed him. Keep him on this for about two weeks. You can then switch him over to regular kitten food then. Hope this helps. Good luck and take care.
