Question"Hello, I have a Himalayan cat who has had 2 previous litters. The sire was over almost 3 weeks ago. Our Himalayan has always pinkened by this point. She does seem a little more needy and hasn't gone back in to heat. Is it possible she wont pinken and still be pregnant? Do cats always pinken? Or should I assume she isn't carrying? Thanks,Karen"
AnswerDear Caroline
You do say the boy was over 'almost' 3 weeks ago. Pinking up can happen between 21-28 days after mating so there is still some time. I do find sometimes though that they are pregnant but do not pink up as much when they have had 2 or 3 litters. The intensity of colour can be paler.
Fingers crossed she is pregnant.
Marcia.
