Puppy peeing the bed

I just got a new puppy, she is now 8 weeks and 3 days old. I have had her exactly one week. She is a yellow lab. She is very spoiled and will not sleep for more than half hour at a time unless she is on a bed. Today she napped on my sister's bed for about 3 hours, and my sister was with her the whole time. When the puppy woke up, my sister found that the puppy had peed in the bed in her sleep. Is this normal at all? Because it isn't like she woke up and made the decision to urinate, she did it in her sleep. In the week we have had her she only did this once, but still... I was wondering if you could let me know if this is something I should make an appointment at the vet for? THANK YOU!

At 8 weeks old you can expect her to hold her bladder for abot 2-3 hours.  Accidents will happen.  If she is consistently urinating while sleeping, then yes you should take her to the vet to have her checked as well as a urine sample analyzed.  Puppies should normally visit the vet every 3-4 weeks until they are 4 months old for routine vaccinations and deworming as well.
