Saltwater fish ID

Question
I am a High School Bio Teacher.  I recently ordered a set of reef organisms from Carolina for my classroom.  It included mostly inverts, but there were a few fish that they threw in that I am having trouble identifying.  Maybe you can help?

1.  Abour 2 1/2 to 3 inches. Black and White horizontal stripes on the body, anterior dorsal fin is very tall and pronounced, with a posterior dorsal fin short and runs from the anterior fin all the way to the caudal fin.  It has large separate pectoral fins.  The pectoral, anterior dorsal, and pelvic fins are all mostly black with white outlines.  The posterior dorsal, anal, and caudal fins are translucent, with the exception of a body stripe that continues into the caudal fin.

2. About 2 in.  Solid orange body.  Black spots at the base and tip of the posterior dorsal fin and caudal fin.  Eyes can change color from black to orange.  Very small anterior dorsal, about half the size of the posterior.  Small pelvic fins.  All fins are translucent with the exceptions of the spots on the dorsal and caudal.

I would appreciate if you can identify these for me, as I have been searching the internet and have not found anything.

Thanks a lot

Answer
Greg,
The first fish sounds like some variety of Cardinalfish and the other sounds like a Psuedochromis.  Both are good reef fish and shouldn't get too much bigger than what you see now.

I would potentially contact the place that you purchased the animals from to see if they can ID them or provide further insight.  Seems to make sense... If anybody is going to know what you have it should be the place that sold them to you.

Best of luck with the ID's!
