Question
Hi I emailed an expert earlier regarding a dead clown fish that I had. I bought a pair of clown fish last week, one died yeaterday and the other is still really well as are the other fish in the tank, i tested the level in the tank this morning which are as follows:
specific gravity 1.022
Amonia 0.6
Nitrite 0.1
ph 8.0
nitrate 10
I am new to all of this and the tank is a new setup the water has been in the tank for about five weeks, as I said all the other fish are fine, I dont want the other fish to die if there is something that I can do.
any help would be great
thanks

Answer
I am not seeing to much out of whack, ammonia and nitrite should be closer to 0. But unless you had a spike should have not harmed your fish. Do a water change or two to try and get those two to zero. The clown could have been just stressed, it happens sometime. Keep me posted.
