1 blue hippo tang
1 yellow tang

thank you for your time and reading my answer

Answer
Hi Anthony,

Most of the fish that you mentioned are fine, except for the blue hippo tang (Paracanthurus hepatus), and the yellow tang (Zebrasoma flavescens) the minimum recommended size aquariums for these fish is between 100 to 150 gallons.

You may be able to keep a very small specimen for a while, however it would quickly outgrow a 40 gallon aquarium.

Regarding the bio-load, you should be fine, as long as you do your regular maintenance chores, which includes regular water changes, using reverse osmosis and/or deionized water.

To help minimize bio-load in between water changes, you may want to think about getting a sufficient protein skimmer.

Good luck with all your saltwater aquarium endeavors.

Regards,
David
