Is there a way to ground my tank because I am getting electrical shocks when I place my hands in the tank, in particular the filter.

Hi Brett. You may want to find the source of the electrical shock and replace that piece of equipment. One by one unplug each or your filters, heater, lights, powerheads and whatever else you have on your tank. Each time you have one thing unplugged put your hand in the tank and see if it is the culprit. It is not at all normal for something to be shocking you when you put your hand in your tank and it could be an indication of a bigger problem to come. This is not something you want to let go.
