Building large ponds

I want to build a large pond for my koy and fishing.
The pond will be about 150' in diameter and about 8' deep, so I dont want to use a liner if I dont have to.
I have 3' deep top soil and then sand.
Can you help me or direct me to the right area to reserch this?
