Fish In Pond in Yard

Question
We have just moved into a house that has a pond
about 75 or 100 gallons of water in it. We had 10 fish, water was getting smelly...cleaned the pond out and now tha fish are dieing. They act like there isn't enough oxygen in the water. I have tried adding plants and they still stay at the top of the water trying to get air. I have no idea how to care for them. Can you tell me how to get more oxygen into the water really soon before they all die?

Answer
Hi Stephanie,
Thanx for your question.  As the summer becomes warmer the water warms up and loses its ability to retain oxygen.  Even though you have plants in the water, standing water will not retain enough oxygen especially in as small an area as 75-100 gallons.  You need a small pump and bubbler available at most garden centers.  I hope this helps.
