Oscar Starving with Bloat

Question
I hope you can help. I have an Albino Oascar that
has bloated sides. He is breathing heavily on the bottom of the tank and, surprisingly he has lived without eating for over a month now (maybe 2 months now). I have very little time left, if any at all. It started with cloudy eyes and I realized there was a problem. He is darker toward the back of his body, as if blood flow is not getting to that part of the body. The other fish seem okay in the 150 gallon tank, except another Oscar seems to be getting a bigger side and I am worried that what this Albino has could be contagious. I treated with Paragon then Paragon II, both with metronidazole and I believe furans in them. That didn't work, I waited a week in between each treatment. I then tried Maracyn II, a myacyn treatment (like tetracycln but man made). Now he is on kamacyn sulfate with no apparent improvements. HELP! I have done water changes in between each treatment  and the water quality is good so far. Is there something else I should try? ALso if my water quality goes crazy from too much treatment, what do you think about Amquel to keep the ammonia and nitrates non-toxic?
Could it be parasitic at all and if so, I am worried that any more medication will zap him dead because he is probably very weak. I try and keep the lights off more often and keep him reserving energy. The temperature is 82 degrees but I just turned it down a bit.

Answer
Hi Kristal,
Thank you for your question. What a hobby, eh?
Here is my diagnosis and recommendation.
The symptoms you describe point to overfeeding.
Read the symptoms of overfeeding here:

My recommendation is that you buy a bottle of "Cycle," friendly bacteria. Stop using all aquarium store pharmaceuticals.
Just follow the instructions for emergency care at the bottom of my page.
Print out the page for your reference.
Overfeeding can occur even if the fish does not appear to eat. The water pollution can kill their appetite. Also, they could breathe in food if there is too much in the environment.
I encourage you to use the Steamboats.com system and continue with the hobby. You will get the hang of it.
A bottle of food should last for the entire lifetime of the fish. For a new fish, just feed one or two flakes per day. Fish food contains animal products.

Also, turn the temperature down to the mid 70s. Also, follow lighting instructions described on my page.
