QuestionHi
I heard a rumor that if a betta can grow slower, it will live longer. Is this true?
If so it would help me very much since i am breeding bettas.
Thanks so much!
Paul
AnswerHello Paul-
There really isn't a way to extend a betta's life past what it's genetics program. If you have a slow growing betta, it will simply die at a smaller size. You can try out-crossing bettas (as inbreeding shortens the lifespan) but nowadays bettas just don't live very long.
Sorry I can't offer more. Hope this is helpful!
