Hi Jim!

I have recently got 4 pearscale goldfish and an aquarium thats abt 6 gallons. Its gr8 to knw v have someone like u highly experienced abt gfish.

I have set up my aquarium two days ago. yesterday i noticed the water giving a milky image.i noticed the fishes passing out too about 4 times in a day.The aquarium has a filter and light attaced with it. Please let me knw if have to worry abt the milky look and the fish.Please give us some additional tips. Thanks.

Hi Sim;

It's just far too small a tank for even one goldfish I'm afraid. Each goldfish needs about 10 gallons just for one. A tank that size is for tiny fish and aren't messy like goldfish naturally are. Ammonia from their waste is literally suffocating them. Make a 50% water change every day so that hopefully they will survive until you can either get a 40 gallon tank for them or take them back to the store.
