Question
Good evening,
I had the oscar that had the sbd.  She is actually normal again and is eating again.  You had mentioned about feeding her different veggies and bloodworms as well as the pellets.  I was wondering what kind of a schedule it should be with all the different kinds of food.  Thank you for all your help so far.  Have a good evening.

Answer
Hi Irielle,
I'm happy to know that your Oscar is well.  Feed him one kind of veggie one day, the next day pellets that you have soaked before giving him, and vary his food, but always the same food on one day.  This is to make it easier for him to digest.  It's a little like us, we can't have steak all week, fish are the same.  So, give him a little feed in the morning, another at noon, and another at night...small servings.  You can judge that by the size of your Oscar.  I know it is hard to judge because they are such gluttons.  You can also feed him twice a day instead to be sure that you are not overfeeding him.  Be sure to give him a serving of peas once a week, and on that day feed him only once.  Vary his food day by day.  One day veggies, the next pellets, the next bloodworms, the next fruit etc.  This way he will get all the vitamins he needs, and won't have anymore trouble with his digestive system.
Hope this helps
Lynda
