oscar and jack dempsey fish

Hello Richard

I would like to know if its a good idea to have an albino oscar with a jack dempsey? I buy the oscar first and after two days I got the jack dempsey... Both are same size ( 1/2 inch approximate.)
I am a little bit concern because since i put the jack dempsey in the tank he been pushing the albino oscar... i do not know if that is bad or good.

Hi Mercedes

Oscars and Jack Dempseys can live together. There should be plenty of caves and hiding places for each to claim there own territory. There will likely always be aggression between them, but the Oscar will outgrow the Jack Dempsey and take over the tank.
