Question
I had just aked about my sons fantial guppy and you thought it was a homework question. I am very concerned that about every 2weeks his fish is giving birth with out a male. Alls we want to know is maybe how can this be or is it normal.

Answer
Tiffany, I understand your frustration and concern. This was the first time I had used the "homework" button. I didn't think it would take away the ability for me to type a response as well, my apologies please. I simply wanted to give you a message that inferred that "I" would do my own "homework" research on this. I have never bred live bearers, only egg layers, bubblemakers, and substrate layers. I WILL get back with you with an answer, I give you my word. After reading your exact question again, I have information for you. I do not mate guppies, which are live bearers. These fish like said, give birth to live bearing fry, which were fertilized internally. The females does have the ability to store the sperm and with that being said, can reproduce multiple times after the male initially spawned with the female. I am sorry for the confusion and I hope I cleared this up for you. If you have anyother questions or concerns, feel free to get back with me. Good luck.
