Question
right, i have a goldfish that has what looks like a small rigid bubble on top of his head (it looks like the tangerine fruit), well anyway the top of his head is flaking away and its leaving little white strands on his head, and also he keeps on turning upside-down. what do i do?

Answer
Richard, it sounds as if your goldfish has a parasitic disease, possibly some kind of worm or leech. The swelling could be injury sites and or a fungus which opened sores that parasites invaded. If it is with other fish, I would remove it into a hospital tank. Either way, it needs to be treated, or discarded unfortunately. There is a broad spectrum antibiotic that I use myself over any other brand and I always recommend this brand for treatments of sickness. Good luck let me know what happens and if you have any further questIons, let me know.
