Newly born bird found in our garden

Is there anything I can do to save this little bird, found in the middle of our lawn?  It has not just 'fallen' out of a nest.  Its eyes are still shut, it has 30% fluff on it, and it's making high pitched noises and opening its beak. I'm trying to find the nest to put it back in but, in the meantime I'm keeping him warm.  I hope you can help.  Kind regards, Lesley

Depends on what type bird it is.  If it's a pigeon or dove, you can handfeed it with baby parrot handfeeding formula and a handfeeding syringe until it's old enough to eat on it's own.  If it's a robin or other, they need worms, insects, and other such type foods.  Contact your local humane society or fish and wildlife service for help.
