Question
Hello Tara, I am planning on getting a ferret in two weeks exactly. It's a present to me from my boyfriend. Ferrets (normally) get along fine with other dogs, so our house dog won't be a problem. But, I also have a budgie in my room. I've had it for a long time and I don't want anything to happen to it. I was wondering if you knew how the budgie might react to the ferret. It doesn't mind our dog, but I thought a ferret might be different. Do you think it's a bad idea to keep it in the same room? (I will be supervising at all times, I just don't want to make my bird scared or uncomfortable.)
Any advice will be helpful. Thank you.

Answer
Hello I've had ferrets before they must be carefully watched and sometimes they will pester the dogs until the dogs snap at them so be careful, I had pet mice the same time as my ferrets one got out and was Half of the mouse was found in my ferrets cage in the morning...it must have went in after the ferrets food. Also I had tryed to introduce a kitten from a litter my mother had that I wasnted to keep at the time to my ferret he latched onto his thigh and wouldn't let go even thou the kitten was screaming I had to pry his mouth open! A budgie will surely be eatten Never let them out at the saem tiem and Never let the budgie out near the ferrets cage just incase it can fit through the bars. Even with you watching you can turn your head your bird can fly on the floor and be mitetned by the ferret and killed in a few seconds of minor distraction.
