horse mind to salivate holding cold bits - no concentration on its job

Question
cold bit
cold bit
hello ma'am, i found most of our horses which hold stainless steel single jointed O ring snaffles keep themselves busy attempting to salivate but they fail as stainless steel is a cold bit(according to internet source). they are not concentrating on their job when the riders trot them or canter them at moderate pace.

so, i got an idea of dipping every stainless steel snaffle in luke warm water(sugar added to it) for a minute so that the bit itself warms up as well as horses would quickly salivate as they like sweet taste. their mind can be directed onto the track when the rider tucks its head and rides. now, the horse concentrates on its job and simultaneously they would be salivating and creating a foam in their mouth.

ma'am, or else i will make a juice out of fresh apples, dip the new cleaned bits in it for a minute, preserve the apple juice in a clean, dry, warm container for an hour or two. when its feed time for the horses, i would add it in horse feed tub. this trick would be benifitting me in two ways : encouraging salivation as well as increasing feed taste. how is my idea ?

note: i will make sure that i would clean the bits after unbridling.

Answer
Rohit,

I am going to give you the information to use to look up an excellent explanation of some of your questions. I could answer, but much of what you ask has already been explained quite well by Dr. Robert Cook in an article from his website, www.Bitlessbridle.com.

www.BitlessBridle.com/dblD/261.html.

You can also go on a general search  "Salivation in horses with bits"
and find his article on there. I used AOL search.
The article starts out with question-"Why do horses produce foamy saliva when ridden?"

Let me know if it answers your questions.
