feeding a broodmare

we are taking care of a pregnant broodmare who is due sometime in march 2008. my question is , how much should i feed this broodmare and how many times a day ? thanks terry

Dear terry,
         Feed her as much hay as she will eat, and a normal amount of grain, be careful with grain because to much can cause founder, and possibly harm or kill the foal. Try pregnant mare feed, they sell it at most co-ops and fleet farms.
