how to control and disipline my mare

how do i punish or disipline my horse if she behaves in an aggressive mannor towards me, sometimes i get the filling she thinks she is in control and i fear she might bite me

hi shawn,
if your mare bites you smack her mouth and say quit in a stern voice. to show her that you are in control teach her to respect your space. teach her to keep her quaters away from you. swing to rope towards them and when she moves them away, stop. once she gets the hang of it she will automatically turn her quarters away from you when you. make sure you do it on both sides. also make sure she knows to back up on voice command. to do this just step towards her and juggle the rein and say back. as soon as she takes a foot step stop. you reward her by releasing the pressure your putting on her. good luck!
